Founder of Life with Nanny One hears many people's stories of their experiences with the child care situation. Some are pleasant, some are shocking, but rarely are they addressed from the perspective of the child care provider. This page was designed so that parents and providers could 'come together' and share their experiences, thoughts and feelings on the important topic of child care. I came from a large family. With many children to care for, my mother enlisted the help of her oldest children to care for the younger. From our earliest days, our parents fostered in us not only a love of children, but a deep respect for them as well. When I graduated from school and entered the business world, I found myself spending endless hours editing novels, and doing re-writes while working for a nonprofit educational organization. After spending several years this way, I rediscovered my deep interest in caring for children, and all the rewards it could bring. Deciding to follow my heart, I answered several 'nanny needed' ads in the local paper. I found two wonderful families looking to share a nanny, and for the next few years, I devoted my days to helping raise their children. When one of the families relocated, I found myself searching for a new position. It was at this time that I entered into the world of Nanny Agencies. It has been my experience that there are both good and bad in all aspects of day care... parents, nannies, and agencies.
It is from my experiences that I write. My fondest hope is to bring Parents and Nannies (and
all child care providers) together...
